I am laughing as I read this because as “the friend” in this post I marvel at your wit as we faced the possiblity of death that dark night.
There were many things lost in translation on that visit… one thing that rang true was the joy we had the honor to experience with Michelle. Heartfelt props to Roger for liquid art.

My mistake… Maybe my host doesn’t get out much when it snows, or maybe it was lost in translation?
In Ohio, we get a lot of snow, sleet, rain, slush, and other. People like to talk about the amount of snow on the road like it’s a major sport.
I was really impressed by the skill of everyone on the road that night, and even more impressed by the wines from Chavignol.

My name is Christine, I live in Chavignol.
I have lever lived in Ohio but I have lived 11 years in Concord, NH, so I think I know a little bit about snow!
We have had a few snow storms these last few months and we do have road salt, the truck go by every few hours.
The amount of snow accumulated was not sufficient to get snow removed or pushed to the side of the road.
