  • The Winery at Wolf Creek is located in Copley Township, 10 minutes west of downtown Akron, and 25 minutes south of downtown Cleveland.
  • Andrew and Melvin Wineberg founded the operation, and planted the original vineyards in 1980. The first harvest was in 1983.
  • The winery opened in 1984, and sold only three wines.
  • Our goal is to produce a high quality product utilizing as much fruit grown in Ohio as possible.
  • The winery currently produces 9,000 cases of wine annually.
  • There are 35 acres of land on the farm. 12 acres are currently being used as vineyard.
  • Our vineyard acreage is split among the following varieties: Vignoles, Pinot Gris, Isabella, Delaware, Cabernet Franc, and Riesling.
  • The body of water to the east of the winery is Barberton Reservoir (aka Wolf Creek).
  • The forested land surrounding the winery is owned by the city of Barberton.
  • The winery is a small agricultural business, with 5 full-time and 10 part-time employees.
  • The winery sells most of its wine on site. The wine is also available at local stores.
